Emerald
Its name comes from the Old French “Esmeralde,” which means “green gemstone.”
The first mines of this gem were exploited by Egyptian pharaohs near the Red Sea, and were later named “Cleopatra's mines” due to the queen's great fascination with this stone.
The Incas and Aztecs of America, where the best emeralds are still found, considered it a sacred stone. The emerald is the stone of nature that is related to wisdom and inspiration. It helps to develop humanity, authentic generosity, and inner liberation. It is the stone of prosperity and knowledge.
